For my final look development project, I created a rich, vintage-style realistic kitchen scene. The model was taken from the Pixar website for educational purpose and I’m responsible only for the UV unwrapping, texturing, lighting and rendering part. I also had to tweak some models with poor wireframe to get better results. I used real-life references to achieve authentic materials and a warm, nostalgic mood. Texturing was done in Substance Painter with a focus on wear and surface detail. I completed the look development and lighting in Maya using Pixar’s RenderMan.
